"How to Present" and "How to Be an Audience" followed by "Show and Tell" (Kathryn) Since almost every meeting starts with children presentations, we like to start the year off with this fun and informative presentation. The children can practice what they learn via “Show and Tell”. All ages are welcome to share if they want.

Jeopardy like game show w/ academic questions (Kathy & Jennifer J.) We split the children into mixed age groups and take turns asking questions. The higher the value the harder the question. Every child gets a turn. K and up can participate.

History Day with "Who Am I" Presentations and historical potluck Children are encouraged to come dressed as a historical character. Plan early and you’ll have a Halloween costume too! Children can give clues to help the group guess their I.D. and older children can give a report on the person. Afterwards we sample foods the characters may have eaten. Great for all ages!

Reader's Theatre with Christmas Theme (Anissa) The fun of acting without memorizing lines. All readers can participate. Some plays have parts for nonreaders too.

Bingo at Veterans Home (or Nursing Home) (Anissa) Play bingo with the Veterans and bless them with the children’s exuberance.

Painting Pottery at a studio like "Fire and Ice" or "Artist for a Day" (Cheryl) CAH will pay the studio fee and you buy your piece of pottery to paint.

Hands-on Science Fair Children present science projects then we let the children explore the different projects.

We are also looking into a presentation by the Shakespeare Festival.

Sign up your children for other presentations at the first meeting. These can be in a variety of forms: book reports, recitation, musical instruments, singing, dance, drama, skits… and can be individual or group performances.

Registration: We ask for an annual family registration of $15 to cover supplies and location costs. If you have never participated with our group, please feel free to come to a few activities to decide if it is a good fit for your family before paying the fee.


Mom’s Meetings: SECOND Wednesday 7:00 to 9:00 at Rembrandt’s in Eagle. We get together and talk curriculum mostly. Great time to get support or ideas. No kids allowed. Husbands O.K.
